Save the
young people !
A disease
that hardly affects children and adolescents is not a serious one.
The duty of
those who have already lived for many years is to enable younger than them to
live as many years of healthy life.
Several
measures being taken today to fight the spread of the virus have the
consequence of seriously harming the youngest for the almost exclusive benefit
of the elderly.
Masks cause
children to breathe air whose composition is abnormally high in carbon dioxide
and low in oxygen. The medical consequences can be serious for their bodies in construction.
Lockdowns
deprive many young people of opportunities to play sports, earn a living and
meet their friends. Suicides are on the increase.
I refuse
that the young people are sacrificed to the old. I refuse that these measures
continue. On the other hand, if a form of the virus that would be particularly
dangerous for young people appears, it would of course be necessary to
reconsider the use of all known means of protection.
People who
are older or more vulnerable for other reasons must be protected by specific
actions. For example, help in order to prevent them from having to go out for
formalities and shopping, or the reservation of time slots for them in public
services or shops.
Let us
assume our responsibilities, each of us according to our situation and without
looking for false culprits.
I speak out
against the growing calls for criminal punishment of politicians.
Viruses do
not make a public announcement about their identity and agenda before they spread.
In front of
a new virus, politicians and doctors alike face the unknown, the not yet known,
and sometimes the unknowable. They can neither know precisely the effects of the
sanitary measures… nor refuse to make decisions.
Everyone
must understand it. The liberation of aggressiveness against the leaders is
baseness.
On the
other hand, crimes are actually committed during health crises by unscrupulous
people. To this end, they use slander against scientists and doctors, semantic
manipulation, direct corruption and… criminal or disciplinary charges. With
regard to this type of act, judicial inquiries must be opened.
If we want
honest politicians to make the best choices, each of us must shoulder our
responsibilities. Let us seek useful knowledge in basic hygiene and medicine,
refuse any act of corruption or culpable silence, ask ourselves and ask publicly
all the questions.
… And
accept the hard-to-hear answers. Endlessly protecting the lives of older people
can deprive younger people of the possibility of living their own lives, of
simply breathing normally. The only ethical choice is to protect, to save the
youngest.
